Facebook is rumored to be launching a stable coin that would take the giant onto the new heights of technological advancement. It is also widely believed that Facebook would be leveraging its acquisition WhatsApp for major dissemination. However, the organization received a huge blow this week.
Two of the Facebook chief executive officer Mark Zuckerberg’s closest colleagues decided to part ways with the organization. Chris Daniels the person in charge of WhatsApp and Chris Cox has been working at the social media giant for thirteen years and was currently serving as the chief product manager.
Cox and Daniels have decided to stay away from the next steps the social media giant is taking in its evolution, while both of them are apparently in clear disagreement with Zuckerberg.
Cox explains in his Facebook post that he has had great moments at the organization and has no regrets working at the social media giant. In his post, he hinted on the responsibility to ensure that social media is driven towards more positive and better avenues. He seems to hint that, the direction Facebook is now going to take is not aligned with the ideology he started working.
He also announced the team replacing him with first names; Fidji, Stan, Adam, and Antonio and congratulated them on their new positions. He went on to thank Mark Zuckerberg and expressed his gratitude for his stay at the organization.
On the other hand, Mark Zuckerberg’s response, on this matter, came through an official newsroom post instead of his Facebook profile. The post explains that Chris Cox has “decided to leave the company.” He also confirmed that the two are parting ways on a disagreement of approach.
However, he suggested that Cox has been looking to pursue “other” plans since 2016. The post, however, praised both Cox and Daniels for the professional excellence they delivered at Facebook.
