New York University School of Professional Studies (NYU SPS) has announced a partnership with the NEAR Foundation to introduce a new “Web3 Learning Workshop” for students and faculty in the sports industry.
Students and industry professionals alike will benefit from this ground-breaking program, which is designed to prepare them for success in the constantly shifting field of Web3 and blockchain technology.
This course, which will be co-hosted by the NYU SPS Tisch Institute for Global Sport and the NEAR Foundation, will investigate how Web3 and blockchain technologies might be used in the context of the sports sector.
Michael Kelly, co-founder of the NEAR ecosystem, will lead the session and instruct attendees on the fundamentals of blockchain technology and digital assets while also providing them with opportunities for hands-on practice.
Jarrod Barnes, Clinical Assistant Professor at the NYU SPS Tisch Institute, highlighted the significance of this program by saying that their students, faculty, and industry partners are eager to discover how blockchain and Web3 can be integrated with sports and other industries to generate real-world value while developing skills and knowledge to create future applications.
NFT rewards for NYU SPS students
In addition to the workshop on Web3 and blockchain technology, the NYU School of Professional Studies (NYU SPS) will also debut an NFT rewards program for its students. This will provide a unique way to the motivation of students.
NEAR will provide assistance to the educational institution in determining a strategy for technically developing the application, choosing a development partner, and maintaining communication with the development team.
The collaboration between NYU’s School of Public Service and the NEAR Foundation is a significant step toward the goal of bringing education and Web3 technologies closer together.
Since blockchain technology has already been adopted in 60 different sectors, according to Huxley Peckham of the Blockchain Academy International, education in blockchain technology is becoming more vital for the next generation of strategists and consultants.
The forefront of web3 education
With its relationship with the NEAR Foundation and the development of the “Web3 Learning Workshop” and the NFT rewards program, the NYU School of Public Service (NYU SPS) is at the vanguard of Web3 education.
Students and industry professionals will be better equipped for success thanks to this forward-thinking approach to education, which will educate them for the ever-changing world of Web3 and blockchain technology.
The Dean of NYU’s School of Professional Studies (NYU SPS), Angie Kamath, summed up the situation by stating that Web3 and blockchain technologies will have a significant role to play, not just in the sports business but also in every other area that is relevant to our lives.
