The second edition of Lugano’s Plan B Forum, the premier Bitcoin conference hosted in the City of Lugano, Switzerland, was yet another success filled with engaging discussions and highlights, including Bitcoin Bazaar, Masterclasses, Keynotes, Sponsor Exhibitions and Bitcoin Art Gallery, topped off with a drone light show.

The 2023 conference was hosted for two days, from October 20th to 21st, bringing together experts, entrepreneurs, technologists, and crypto enthusiasts to discuss a range of topics around Bitcoin adoption, economics, financial freedom, and freedom of speech.

Plan B Forum was started in 2022 by the City of Lugano and Tether. The joint initiative was aimed at promoting cryptocurrency and also to scale blockchain and Bitcoin throughout the city to positively impact the daily lives of people in Lugano.

Residents in Lugano are already able to pay for daily purchases using Bitcoin and Stablecoins (USDT and LVGA). Through the joint initiative with Tether, the Municipality intends to emerge as a European hub for technological and financial innovation.

The Mayor of Lugano, Michele Foletti, and Tether’s CEO, Paolo Ardoino, were among the opening speakers in the second edition of Plan B. They spoke more about the aim of the initiative and the importance of promoting crypto education and blockchain to everyone.
