Dying Light 2: Stay Human Offers Free Weekend Trial on PC

In this post:

  • Dying Light 2: Stay Human offers a free trial on PC until February 26th, showcasing the “Reloaded Edition” with bonus items and progress saving.
  • The trial is exclusive to Steam, disappointing players on other platforms like Epic Games Store and consoles.
  • Techland partners with Tencent, gaining resources while maintaining creative freedom for their games.

Techland, the developer behind the highly-anticipated Dying Light 2: Stay Human, has announced a limited-time free trial for PC players.

From now until Monday, February 26th at 6 pm UK time, PC players can experience the adrenaline-pumping action of Dying Light 2: Stay Human at no cost. This special trial, showcasing the “Reloaded Edition” in all its glory, gives players a glimpse into the game’s immersive world.

Exclusive offerings

During the trial, players will receive a complimentary welcome pack of valuable in-game items. Should they explore the game further, these items will remain in the player’s inventory. Progress made during the trial will be saved and can be carried over seamlessly if players purchase the full game later.

Additionally, the Reloaded Edition, which includes the first story DLC and the highly-anticipated firearms update, is currently offered at a 50% discount, making it an ideal time for players to dive into the full experience.

It’s important to note that the trial is exclusively available on the Steam platform and is not accessible through the Epic Games Store or on consoles. This limitation may disappoint some players hoping to explore the game on other platforms.

Techland’s partnership with Tencent

In other news, Techland made headlines last year by announcing a partnership with Tencent, a major player in the global gaming industry. As part of this partnership, Tencent has become a majority shareholder in Techland.

Techland’s CEO, Paweł Marchewka, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating that it will enable the team to advance their game vision at full throttle. Marchewka described Tencent as an ally with a track record of partnering with leading video game companies and helping them achieve new heights while respecting their creative autonomy.

Maintaining creative independence

Techland reassures fans that they will retain full ownership of their intellectual properties and maintain their creative freedom despite the partnership. This commitment aims to alleviate concerns about potential changes to the studio’s approach or direction following the partnership with Tencent.
